I know I neglect this blog terribly but keep coming back and I'll do better.
We saw the Woop Woop wine in the store yesterday. We didn't buy any but Debra loves the name and so I'm sure she'll probably give it a try. The one review I found for the Shiraz says "above average." It sure pays to have an interesting name. Without the name, this wine might never have been noticed by us.

I know you do a turkeyless thanksgiving, but what wine goes with turkey and traditional thanksgiving starch laden meals: dressing, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, corn etc?
Sorry I didn't see this until today - we were so busy eating salmon and green bean casserole, a great sweet potato casserole and dressing. Yum. We had all varieties of wine - sav blanc, pinot noir, and some blends. With turkey I like pinot noir.
My brother's name is Joel, so when I went with him to BevMo to purchase wine for our Thanksgiving meal, I told him he couldn't pass up the Joel Gott. See, the label has Joel Gott across the top, then the type of wine underneath. I told him that underneath the type of wine, he should write "for Thanksgiving." So that it would look like:
Joel Gott
Chardonay
for Thanksgiving
